The NFL has unveiled a new home venue for its postseason games.
The New Orleans Saints will play the Arizona Cardinals in a Super Bowl LI game on January 5 at the Superdome.
The stadium will be the first NFL venue to feature a dome-like structure.
The Saints were able to secure a site in New Orleans in December that will be suitable for the game.
“The Superdrome is the perfect location to host NFL playoff games for New Orleans and beyond,” said Commissioner Roger Goodell in a statement.
“We are thrilled to have been able to work with the Saints to secure this historic facility.
The NFL said the stadium will feature a new roof system, upgraded seating and new lighting, among other improvements. “
This is an exciting day for our sport, our community and our fans.”
