Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is one of the most common ingredients in many processed foods, but its production is now at an all-time low.
With no hope of making it more commercially viable, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has now decided to give the material a second life as a plant-based superfood.
It has just approved a new chemical called “PETF” as a new food ingredient for the first time.
The world’s leading health organisation has now approved a chemical that could one day replace PET in processed foods.
The new chemical, called PETF-5, is produced by a company called Polyphenol-3 (P3), which is owned by Swiss pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca.
P3, along with its parent company, Swiss Re, is the largest global chemical company and has a market value of $6.5 trillion.
P2 and P3 have been making PET for a long time, with P3 in the UK, Australia, China, Germany, the US and Brazil, and P2 in Germany.
But P3 now wants to be the world leader in producing PETF for use in the production of PET-based food products.
P3 has already applied for a patent on PETF, but the US Patent and Trademark Office has rejected the application and the company has been fighting the decision in court.
But now, with the approval of PETF5, the chemical is on the verge of entering the food supply chain.
“PETF5 is the first PET-derived product to be approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use as a food ingredient,” said Philip Sargent, P3’s CEO and president of business development.
“This is a great example of how a company can take an existing, valuable product and make it better, and we are thrilled that this is now a reality.”
PETF is made from two main types of PET: one is called PET-1, which is the main ingredient in PETF; and another is PET-2, which P3 says is derived from another species of PET.
P7, the main component of PET, has also been made by P3.
PETF has been widely used in the food industry, but it is not a common ingredient.
PET is a toxic substance that has a long history in the environment.
The new PETF will be used in foods that contain either 0.5 to 1 percent or less of its original weight in PET.
This means that a product with a weight of 100 grams (about 7.4 ounces) would contain less than a tenth of the amount of PET than one containing 5 percent of the original weight.
P6 PETF was first introduced in the early 1970s, and it has been a staple ingredient in processed food for more than 40 years.
In its original form, PET was a strong solvent, but now PETF makes it easier to process food, and is also a better solvent for plastics and other organic materials.
PETF can be mixed with water to form a soft, porous product, and can be used as a solvent for food processing.
It also works well as a carrier for pharmaceutical ingredients.
However, the FDA said that PETF products have been known to be “not suitable for human consumption, in particular as food ingredients.”
The FDA also noted that PETFs use of a small amount of polystyrene (PS) in their processing, and also that the ingredients used in PET have been linked to high levels of cancer-causing chemicals.
As a result, the government has proposed that food manufacturers make PETF food-grade food ingredients from PET instead of using PETF as a component.
This would give PETF an advantage in the industry.
There are also concerns about the amount and types of toxic chemicals that PETs are able to produce.
In recent years, PETs have been found to have a toxic cocktail of metals, pesticides and other chemicals.
The EPA is considering how to regulate the use of PET in food.
So far, there are two approved PETs in use in food production.
P1 PETF used in products like biscuits and biscuits made from it, is widely used, but some scientists say it is also too toxic for humans to eat.
Other PETs, like P7PETF, are more common in processed products, but they are still widely used and have not been shown to be harmful.
The new PETs could also be used to make products like cookies, cakes and bread, and some of these products could be packaged as “natural” food.
The use of these PET products is also becoming more widespread, because the amount is smaller than the amount that can be produced with PET.
